The Governor's Omnibus and Almanac of the Territories News Cooperative of North America or GOAT News is a journalists' cooperative originally founded by Mike, and is the leading publication on issues of importance to the well-bred colonialist. It has a limited market share but is not considered to be a direct competitor with popular publications such as FPH News or FPH Sun, due to its focus on thorough and original analysis over rapid relay reporting.
History[]
Mike first published GOAT News in 2008 in response to perceived biases on the part of FPH News, then the dominant reporting agency. Heading the first issue was
GOAT News maintained its staunchly pro-Canadian stance during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics
Mike's tagline, "No opinions, no bias, just truth"[2]. GOAT News immediately distinguished itself with a revised and detailed statistical analysis of straw polls held prior to the April 2008 Elections.
Expansion[]
The first publication of GOAT News was warmly received[3], and with this success Mike was quickly joined by leading journalists chiron and SoggyFrog. Thereafter, GOAT News was published as a cooperative.
